Director of Operations

Under general direction, plans, organizes, directs and manages various internal departments of The Lighthouse Group such as new client onboarding, internal audit functions; is responsible for the administration of the daily operations of LighthouseHQ; assists in the development, training, and evaluation of internal policies and procedures; provides highly complex staff assistance to the Chief Operations Officer (COO); and, performs related duties as assigned.


 

Job Duties for Director of Operations:

The Director of Operations is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the daily operations of The Lighthouse Group. Reporting directly to the senior management team, this position ensures the seamless execution of internal processes, fosters team development, and enhances client experience through operational excellence.

  • Develop and implement scalable operational processes to support growth.

  • Drive operational efficiency across departments, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to deadlines.

  • Identify and mitigate risks, particularly for high-risk clients.

  • Oversee cost management and resource allocation to improve profitability.

  • Lead and mentor a team of managers and support staff, fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth.

  • Proactively address client feedback to refine service delivery.

  • Collaborate with various departments, including individual leaders to ensure budgets, financial statements, and tax filings are accurate and timely.

  • Ability to complete back work projects in an efficient, timely manner

  • Work closely with senior leadership to set long-term goals and prioritize initiatives.

  • Serve clients a subject matter expert for all issues relevant to services offered by The Lighthouse Group providing operational support when necessary

Qualifications for Director of Operations:

  • Proven track record of success in an operational leadership or management role, ideally within professional services, accounting, or consulting

  • BS/MS in accounting or related field

  • Enrolled Agent (EA)

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP)

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a professional office
