High Risk Account Manager
This is the working lead in the high risk division of Lighthouse Accounting Group LLC. Incumbents in this class exercise a high degree of independent judgment on diverse and specialized projects and have significant accountability and ongoing decision-making associated with their work. This class reports to the AVP, Accounting Services & CEO and is responsible for administrating departmental operations for clients identified as high risk (HRC). Incumbent primarily manages assigned client relationships and supports the executive management team with special projects as assigned.
Job Duties for High Risk Account Manager:
This position works independently within our operations department and is an integral part of managing our clients and team members. You will work alongside a team of like-minded individuals managing the following day to day responsibilities:
Manage 1-3 team members
Review QuickBooks Online files for accuracy
Accurately prepare & supervise preparation of monthly and yearly financial. statements for high risk client(s)
Serve as a liaison between senior management and client management/ operations
Interact with business owners, providing them high-level insights and advanced analysis on their business’s financials and performance
Ability to reconcile tax returns to books and records
Ability to complete back work projects in an efficient, timely manner
Serve clients a subject matter expert for all issues relevant to services offered by Lighthouse Accounting Group
Qualifications for High Risk Account Manager:
Enrolled Agent (EA)
Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting or related field
QuickBooks ProAdvisor Certification
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
BS/MS in accounting or related field

Starting $75,000.00- $140,000.00 DOE + performance bonus

Senior Accountant

Incumbent primarily managing assigned client relationships and supporting the executive management team with special projects as assigned.
Job Duties for Senior Accountant:
This position works within our operations department and is an integral part of managing our clients. You will work alongside a team of like-minded individuals managing the following day to day responsibilities:
Manage 30-275 client relationships
Accurately prepare individual (1040) and business tax returns (1120, 1120S, 1065) and associated schedules and financial statements with minimal supervision
Interact with business owners, providing them high-level insights and advanced analysis on their business’s financials and performance
Present timely reports to clients & Lighthouse Accounting Group Executive Leadership for review
Review client workflow and business operations and make technology and app recommendations to increase efficiencies
Strong financial analytic skills
Ability to reconcile tax returns to books and records
Ability to complete back work projects in an efficient, timely manner
Serve clients a subject matter expert for all issues relevant to services offered by Lighthouse Accounting Group
Qualifications for Senior Accountant:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
Enrolled Agent (EA) / California Registered Tax Preparer (CRTP) required
Minimum of 2 years experience in accounting or related field
QuickBooks ProAdvisor Certification
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Bookkeeper II or Senior Bookkeeper
Bookkeeper II is the entry level class of the professional accounting series. Initially, under close supervision, incumbents perform more routine duties while learning corporate policies and procedures and becoming familiar with a variety of internal systems and practices. As experience is gained, duties become more diversified and are performed under more general supervision. This class is alternately staffed with Senior Bookkeeper(s) and incumbents may advance to the higher level after gaining experience and demonstrating proficiency which meet the qualifications of the higher level class.
Senior Bookkeeper is the journey level class in the professional accounting series. Positions in this class are expected to independently perform the full range of accounting/auditing duties. Successful performance requires a thorough knowledge of accounting procedures, the ability to exercise sound independent judgment within established guidelines, and skill in directing the work of others. Responsible for planning, organizing, supervising, and evaluating the work of a small group of/or individual positions performing similar work or functions. This class is distinguished from Senior Accountant which is the first full supervisory level of the series with responsibility for all general accounting and financial reporting functions for client relationships.
Job Duties for Bookkeeper II or Senior Bookkeeper
This position works within our processing department and is an integral part of managing our client’s accounting records. You will work alongside a team of like-minded individuals managing the following day to day responsibilities:
Manage 5-50 client relationships
Build a trusted advisor relationship with clients by gaining an in-depth understanding of their unique business objectives & goals
Interact with clients & obtain/ monitor accounting data for input and review
Categorize transactions in electronic records system
Complete monthly bank account/ GL reconciliations
Provide support to operations team as needed
Partner with Senior Accountant on special projects as assigned
Ability to multitask and prioritize workload efficiently
Ability to complete back work projects in an efficient, timely manner
Qualifications for Bookkeeper II or Senior Bookkeeper:
Previous California payroll processing experience
Previous bookkeeping experience
California Registered Tax Preparer (CRTP)- Required after 1 year of employment
Minimum of 2 years experience in accounting or related field
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
